A conceptual poster and ticket design for Carbon Arc Cinema. Independent Lens is a series of ten contemporary documentaries on important social issues.

With all ten films centred around activist movements and themes, I settled on an image of a man looking slightly off in the distance, with his hand against his face, contemplating. This one image conveys change. He is looking off to the side and pondering.  The type covering his right eye while the left is visible connects the eye being the "lens" to the ten films.

This poster is designed to be viewed and hung as a usual poster, and it is also intended to be cut and folded into a brochure.

The tickets are designed for companionship. Buying two separate tickets and placing them next to each other creates the image of the main man on the cover poster.
