The Deaf Spectrum Society of Nova Scotia or DSSNS is a non-profit organization.  They work with the public, private and non-profit sectors to prevent and remove old barriers as well as new barriers that are faced by an estimated 58,000 people in Nova Scotia. These people include; Deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened and Deaf-Blind.
They work in communication access, education, employment, and health. legal services and recreation. 

The client wanted to incorporate the deaf union flag into the design, placing the flag into the front "d" forwarding that idea. Using those three primary flag colours as well.
